About the artist
ALEXANDER is the solo guitar project of New Haven, CT native David Shapiro (who also performs with Kath Bloom, in Headroom, and in Center). Drawing from a wide range of guitar traditions, his solo music varies from fingerstyle acoustic guitar to psychedelic feedback-oriented improvised electric guitar. In addition to a handful of self-released cassettes, he has released music on C/Site Recordings, Sound Holes, and Garden Portal. His self-titled LP is distributed by Forced Exposure.
