About the artist
GENE MACHINE has been the year long project of Syd White – an attempt at playing with the cybersomatic apparatuses that traverse our bodies. Syd likes to spend their time knitting and crocheting, reading books, and watching TikToks. Their favorite tea is licorice and they prefer graph paper over lined. They are one of those people that seem to always be cold. They have dreams about the ocean often. Their fish is named Bartleby. If they met you they would probably explain why.
